Setting a Cleaning Frequency for Commercial Premises

Frequency should be set by footfall and by what an inspection looks at, not by what a contractor is willing to sell you.

Offices

Daily service for washrooms and pantries, weekly for floors and glass, quarterly deep clean including carpet extraction and AC returns. Meeting rooms need more than their floor area suggests.

Food premises

Kitchen deep cleaning quarterly for most, monthly for high-volume fryer operations. Extract systems on a frequency set by cooking volume, documented for your food safety file.

Retail

Nightly during trading, with a deeper reset before seasonal peaks and audits. Entrance glass and flooring drive first impressions more than anything else in the unit.

Clinics and nurseries

Daily to your own infection-control policy, with deep cleaning scheduled into closures and term breaks. The policy should come from you; a contractor substituting their own is a warning sign.

Everything we do is scoped against how to choose a cleaning company, priced after an inspection and fixed in writing before any work begins.

Questions

Answered plainly.

For anything audited, yes. Consistency and documentation are what an inspector actually looks for.

It can be, but price it as a separate line so you can see what you are buying and adjust it.

Dated, photographed records per visit, signed by a named supervisor.

No phone quotes. An inspection, a written list, and a price that does not move on the day. Fill this in and it reaches us complete — no back-and-forth to establish the basics.
