An old method
The principle behind modern marble restoration is ancient: cut the surface flat with a coarse abrasive, then refine it through progressively finer ones until it reflects light. What has changed is the abrasive, not the logic.

History of the TradeStone finishing is one of the oldest building crafts still practised in essentially the same way — abrasives, in stages, from coarse to fine.
The principle behind modern marble restoration is ancient: cut the surface flat with a coarse abrasive, then refine it through progressively finer ones until it reflects light. What has changed is the abrasive, not the logic.
Historic polishing used sand, emery and natural stones. Industrial diamond abrasives made the process faster and far more controllable, which is why a floor can now be restored in place rather than replaced.
Stone suits the climate — thermally massive, hard-wearing and cool underfoot. It is also deeply embedded in regional architectural tradition, which is why it remains the default finish in UAE villas rather than a luxury exception.
A stone floor can be honed many times over its life. Restoration is usually a fraction of replacement cost, and it keeps material in the building rather than in a skip.
Everything we do is scoped against the written checklist, priced after an inspection and fixed in writing before any work begins.
Modern. It is a chemical and mechanical surface-hardening process, distinct from honing and polishing.
Many. Each pass removes a fraction of a millimetre.
Calcium-based stones such as marble, limestone and travertine react with acid. Granite and quartzite largely do not.
An inspection, a written scope and a price that holds. We will also tell you when the job does not need us.
No phone quotes. An inspection, a written list, and a price that does not move on the day. Fill this in and it reaches us complete — no back-and-forth to establish the basics.
